The Blood Pressure Profiler website was developed by Arthur ("Art") Lewis, an engineer and manager in the manufacturing and telecommunications industry for 29 years and graduate of Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (PMD-18, Dec., 1969). He also a gradulate of the Air Force Academy, Class of 1960. He is a registered Master Electronics Technician in radio and TV with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has held this license (No. 8343) for over 30 years.
Having been diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2000, Art began tracking his blood pressure at home and at work on an Excel* spreadsheet to determine his average and peak values. He was surprised to discover a wide variation in his blood pressure during the course of the work day, which he attributed to vocational stress.
The information he analyzed also correlated well with his physician's office results. After retirement in 2004, he further developed the Blood Pressure Profiler tracking software by adding expanded features and several versions to meet both personal and professional needs for blood pressure management.
