Our software, an Excel* workbook, tests, calculates, and tracks an accurate blood pressure average with just 12 measurements. It graphs trends to show inprovement in lowering blood pressure. The results are kept in an automated Tracking Log, which can be used as a record for your physician. The software can be used by individuals or by the whole family.Note 1
Accurate results using statistical analysis.
The results developed by the software give an accurate picture of your blood pressure and reveal high and low points often missed by an occasional single measurement. Determine your average and median values as well as the low and high points in both tabular and graphical form. Results are summarized in a Tracking Log for your records and for your physician. Learn if you have a high degree of variation in your blood pressure during a typical week and the role that stress may be playing on your blood pressure.
Provides information similar to that collected by an ABPM .Note 2
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors provide a broad picture of the behavior of your blood pressure, using special equipment worn continuously. Our software provides similar results during waking hours (not during sleep) over the course of a week or longer, but without wearing special equipment. Measurements taken during the day with a portable wrist or arm monitor and entered into our software will graph trends, calculate weighted averages, median, and percent distribution of measurements by classification (e.g., low, normal, high normal, stage 1 high, stage 2 high).
Take periodic measurements for a few days with a portable blood pressure monitor. You can buy monitors for as little as $40 here on this site, at pharmacies, discount stores (WalMart, Costco), or electronic stores (Fry's).
Enter the measurements at the times you took them in the time slots provided on the Data Entry table, included with the software.
Review your bar graph results with as little as 12 measurements (all versions).
Review averages and median values on all versions.
Review linear tends graph with as little as 18 measurements. (all versions, except the basic or Standard Version).

Note 1: Classification tables used in Blood Pressure Profiler are for adults. However, the measurement data collected in the Tracking Log can be used by your pediatrician or child's family doctor to correlate with clinical tables for children, taking into account age, height, and weight variations to determine the proper classification. Pediatric and childen's monitors with smaller cuffs are available to fit children for many portable monitors on the market. Check with your pharmacist for recommendations.
Note 2: Blood Pressure Profiler is not intended to be a substitute for or to replace ABPM equipment. Rather, the software is a convenient way to evaluate your blood pressure during waking hours over time using an inexpensive portable blood pressure monitor. The results should be shared with your physician, who may then determine if an ABPM is an appropriate analytical treatment option.
